SAGINAW -- The Saginaw Spirit is giving back to veterans.
All veterans got into Sunday's game for free.
Organizers say it's a way to give back to the real heroes.
"These are America's heroes at Dow Event Center. These veterans that have fought for our country they give us the right to vote on Tuesday. it's just we walk around pinching ourselves because these guys on the ice are great hockey players but the real heroes are these veterans who fought for our country and made us free" says Craig Goslin, president of Saginaw Spirit.
The yellow ribbon guard was also collecting goods to send overseas to troops.
