The violent sit-down strike in 1936-37 by General Motors hourly workers in Flint will be the subject of a presentation this week at the Michigan State University Museum.

The presentation, "The General Motors Strike: Reflections on the Flint Sit-Down Strike and Anti-Capitalist Art," is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in the museum's auditorium. The talk is being led by Dylan Miner of the MSU Residential College for Arts and Humanities.

The presentation at the East Lansing university is part of the museum's "Our Daily Work/Our Daily Lives Brown Bag Series."

The strikes at a Fisher Body plant in the birthplace of GM helped lead to United Auto Workers representation.
