GRAND BLANC -- It's about improving student leadership skills as athletes, in the classroom, and as future community leaders.
Genesys Athletic Club and the Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame held a mentoring day for 160 athletes at 17 local schools on Wednesday.
Students learned about building a framework for success in all aspects of life.
"It is something they are going to carry throughout their entire life It is something that they can train and mentor others as they get older in life as well," Jim Mongrain of Genesys Athletic Club said.
