FLINT -- A Flint man has been convicted of murder related to a 2010 robbery that left two people dead.

According to Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton, 23-year-old Stanley Lajan Smith, Jr. has been found guilty of eight felony counts including the murders of 27-year-old Martarine Wilson and 15-year-old Porsche Turner.

On Nov. 13, 2010 Smith and another man went into a house on Kearsley Park Blvd. in Flint to commit an armed robbery for money and drugs.  During the robbery, Smith shot and killed Wilson and Turner. 

Smith faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

He will be sentenced on Jan. 8, 2013.
