SAGINAW COUNTY -- A former Buena Vista Township police officer convicted of murdering his pregnant girlfriend will not get a new trial.

Saginaw County Circuit Court Judge Darnell Jackson rejected claims made by Bluew's attorney about the trial being unfair, as well as Bluew's motion for a second trial.

Bluew's case can still be moved to the state court of appeals.

Bluew has filed an appeal.
