MIDLAND -- The community in Midland is preparing to celebrate the life of eight-year-old Jayden Lamb.
12/12/12 is Jayden's birthday.
The Midland boy lost his battle with cancer just two weeks ago.
Wednesday, family and friends will celebrate Jayden's birthday in a special lantern-releasing ceremony at Messiah Lutheran Church in Midland.
During his battle with cancer, community members rallied around the family and continue to do so after Jayden's passing.
Jayden's birthday celebration begins at 5:30p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church.
Officials expect more than 800 people to attend.
