Some local families may be wondering what they can do to help the Sandy Hook shooting victims. At least 2 local vigils will be held to remember them.
Holbrook Ave Church of God will be holding a Candlelight Vigil in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting and anyone who has lost their lives at the hand of violence. The vigil will start tonight at 7:00 and take place at the Holbrook Ave Church of God, located at 1034 E. Holbrook Ave. All are welcome. Please contact the church for more information 810.785.9971
Also, Huron County Community Foundation's Youth Advisory Council (45 high school students from around the county) are sponsoring a Candlelight Vigil and Teddy Bear Drive for Sandy Hook School on Fri., Dec. 21 at 6:30pm at Bad Axe Elementary. 100's of area residents expected, over 500 Teddy Bears raised, letters of support written by school children, songs and prayers of faith and hope... This is a community service project idea of area high schoolers!
