Bay County gas leak causes evacuations

BAY COUNTY -- In Kawkawlin Township, 2 families were evacuated because of a gas leak following a car accident.

It's occured on M-13 near Wetter and Parrish. The accident occured this morning. It resulted in natural gas line being ruptured. There was a strong smell of gas in that area. M-13 has been re-opened after it was closed for several hours.

Motorists were avoiding M-13, but it's all clear now. There are no reports of any injuries.
