Temperatures in the 60's dipped below freezing by Sunday night, causing a slippery Monday morning commute.

It may have also caused a big tree to fall on the roadway in Saginaw Township. The tree fell on Mannion at Shattuck, causing traffic to be re-routed away from the scene. It also caused power lines to fall, causing limited power outages in Saginaw Township. No injuries are reported.

Some local schools are closed on Monday, because busses couldn't travel safety on icy backroads. Police agencies also report some accidents during Mondays commute. By 9:00 am Monday, although expressways were generally running at posted speeds, rural and subdivision roads are still icy, so caution should be used while driving.
