Even a small amount of water can damage your car

MID-MICHIGAN -- With all of the flooding across the area, local auto shops and dealers are warning against trying to drive through any flooded roads.

A car can float in only about two feet of water.

If your car stalls while driving through water, trying to restart it could draw water into your engine, causing irreparable damage.

Do not drive around road barriers; the road or bridge may be washed out or the water may be deep.
