SAGINAW -- More than 200 houses in the neighborhoods around Saginaw High School may be coming down.

The Saginaw County Land Bank, The Downtown Development Authority, and the City of Saginaw collectively applied for nearly $4 million in grant money in December for blight elimination.

The grant would fund 256 properties targeted for demolition with a focus on making the area safer.
