Federal funding will be needed before they can proceed
The Dort Highway extension to Balwin Road is being discussed
GRAND BLANC TWP -- A plan to extend Dort Highway south to Baldwin Road is on hold until Federal Funding is available.
The plan calls to extend the highway and expand Baldwin Road so Genesys Health System can create construction and other permanent jobs.
If the Dort Highway project receives a green light, it would essentially run along the west edge of the Genesys property.
