Waste-collecting services will be outsourced

FLINT -- Flint's emergency financial manager, Ed Kurtz, says the city is returning to curbside recycling as waste collection services are outsourced.

Republic Services based in Flint Township will start collecting Flint trash starting March 4th under a nearly $4 million contract announced this afternoon.

Neighborhood trash pickup days will stay the same.
