FLINT -- The region's largest auto plant has been shut down at this hour.
GM's Flint Assembly, which makes trucks, has been shut down because of a parts shortage.
A GM spokesman says the third shift at Flint Assembly isn't running because of too few parts.
Despite the shutdown, third shift skilled trades and salaried workers are still expected to report to work.
The assembly line will ramp up again later this morning when first shift begins so those workers should report to work as well.
Flint Assembly makes the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty trucks.
