FLINT -- It was all about hockey for a good cause at Perani Area this weekend.

Hockey players representing the United Way, the UAW, and General Motors took to the ice to help the United Way reach its 2012 campaign goal.

The United Way of Genesee County wants to raise $2.9 million dollars before their May first celebration.

Headlining their celebration this year is Mark Ruess.

Ruess has served as President of General Motors North America since 2009.

The United Way funds 36 programs across Genesee County.
