FLINT -- Michigan House Democrats are on a tour to hear the concerns of citizens.

Local state representatives including Charles Smiley (D-Burton) and Stacy Erwin Oakes (D-Saginaw) invited residents to Mott Community College Monday night as part of their listening tour.

They say their priority is to listen to concerns from tax increases to funding cuts and take them back to Lansing.

“Trying to get as much info and personal examples, life examples that they've had so that we can share that on the floor,” Smiley said.
