MIDLAND -- Flooding is causing road closures at this time according to Midland County 911.

Midland County 911 is reporting road closures in both the City of Midland and in Midland County.

The reported closures are:

City of Midland:

Tittabawassee River Road between Dublin and the Northwood Entrance is closed with water over the road.

Midland County:

Again, because of water over the road Orr Road between Tittabawassee and LaPorte is closed.

Additionally Bradford Road between Coleman and West County Line Road, and West County Line Road between Curtis Road and Coolidge Road are also closed.

Midland 911 says that the Tittabawassee River is 21.12 feet and rising as of 8 a.m. today.

The Emergency Coordinator for Midland County, Roger Garner, told NBC 25 that these roads typically flood in the spring because they are low-lying.

Garner also told NBC 25 that they have put up signs on the flooded roads and that vehicles should not go around them.

This not only could damage or even disable the vehicle, but Garner said they will ticket drivers for going around the signs.

Garner also expects the Tittabawassee River to stop rising about 2' below the flood stage unless there is a rain storm.

Stay with NBC 25 as we watch and report this ongoing flooding situation.
