The Humane Society of Genesee County and Genesee County Animal Control want to remind you how important it is to get your pets vaccinated against rabies. Volunteers from both organizations along with Citizens for Animal Rescue and Emergencies and the U.A.W. will be on hand tomorrow to give rabies shots to pets of Genesee County residents.

The Rabies Shot Clinic takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Genesee County Animal Control, G-4351 W. Pasadena Avenue, Flint. The rabies shots are $7 with the required purchase of a dog license. If your dog already has a license for 2008, you must bring proof of it before a rabies shot will be given. This does not apply to cats.

Carla Huber from the Humane Society of Genesee County and Carol Gillespe from Animal Control stopped by NBC 25 Today Friday morning to offer more details about the rabies shot clinic, and tell us about Ginger, one of the animals up for adoption at the Humane Society.
