Need a job? Birch Run is the place to be today.
More than 60 employers are looking to hire workers at a Job Fair today in Birch Run. It will be held at the Comfort Inn near Meijer from 2 till 7. The head of the Birch Run Chamber of Commerce, Mike Szukhent suggests job applicants wear a tie or professional clothes and bring along a resume.
What kind of jobs are available? Szukhent says the majority are service jobs from the Premium Outlets. But other, higher paying jobs will be up for grabs as well. Some of the jobs are in area restaurants. Others at hotels and motels in the Birch Run area. For people who've been out of work for an extended period of time, this may be just the break they need.
