DETROIT (AP) -- The General Motors Foundation is unveiling a new float for the annual Thanksgiving Day parade in Detroit.

The float will be introduced Tuesday afternoon at the Renaissance Center Wintergarden downtown and paraded along Atwater Street.

Officials say the float celebrates the foundation's partnership with the United Way for Southeastern Michigan and commitment to education in the city.

The 86th America's Thanksgiving Parade will be held Nov. 22. It is produced by The Parade Co.
