According to police, 24-year-old David Rivera -- who family memeber say was also known as "Sunny D" -- was shot to death at the corner of S. Washington Avenue and Wisner.

A family friend knocked on the family's door at 221 Wisner around midnight and told Rivera's mother, Rosemarie Rivera, her son had been shot. Rivera died at the scene.

A friend says he saw Rivera just minutes before the shooting.

"We was all at my house left my house not even ten minutes before they killed and took my brother from me man," says Anthony Zamora.

Rivera leaves behind two daughters and a family that desperately misses him.

Police report no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Saginaw Police Department. (989)759-1598 or CRIMESTOPPERS 1-800-422-JAIL.
