LAPEER -- Students and staff at a Lapeer Middle School are going to war, and they're fighting to help families in need.
Zemmer Middle School is holding its Second Annual Penny War to raise money for families in need during the holiday season.
The i-Connect classes at the school will compete to see which class can round up the most pennies.
Last year the week-long event raised more than $4,000.
