MOUNT PLEASANT -- An Isabella County woman has been arraigned after police say she embezzled more than $25,000 from Smith and Son's Meat Packing in Mount Pleasant.

According to the Isabella County Sheriff's Department, 34-year-old Stephanie Lynn Lyon of Mount Pleasant was arraigned this morning on three felony counts, including embezzlement of $20,000 or more, forgery and fraud.

While working as an accountant at Smith and Son's, police say Lyons double-signed and cashed 27 checks in 2010.

Lyon is also accused of double-signing and cashing 21 checks, as well as producing and forging seven more checks.

In 2012, it is believed Lyon double-signed and cashed 15 checks while forging two more.

Lyon immediately posted bond following her arraignment.

The case remains under investigation.
