DAVISON -- A Davison High School senior is "making melody for a cure" to benefit her music teacher who is battling Leukemia.

Beth Walsh found out she had Leukemia in 2011. Since then, the Davison High School assistant music teacher has received support from her fellow teachers and students like senior, Macy Pomeroy.

As part of her senior project, Macy is organizing the event called "Making melodies for a cure." It features musical students and teachers who will sing and play for the cause.

The event is Friday at 7p.m. at Davison High School. People can make a donation.

Half the proceeds will go to Walsh and the other half will go to the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute.
