MID-MICHIGAN -- Consumers Energy tells us that 1500 homes and businesses are without power at this time across Michigan.

Almost half of that, 740, are reported in Saginaw County.

Genesee County has 110 and Shiawassee County has about 50.

High winds are suspected to be the cause, with a high wind advisory in effect today.

Winds could gust up to 50mph according to the National Weather Service.
