FENTON TOWNSHIP -- As Fall moves in, farmers are offering up some of their Fall harvest at a first-time event in Fenton Township.

The Fall Farmers Market was held Sunday and offered up more than just local produce.

There was a bounce house, arts, crafts and even a dog costume contest.

More than anything, organizers say events like this give farmers the opportunity to serve the community and make a living.

"This is how they make their living. They are farmers and this is pretty much the end of their crops, pumpkins and squashes." says Sharon Briggs of the Southern Lakes Parks and Recreation Center.

The organization serves Fenton, Linden and Fenton Township.
