SAGINAW -- Saginaw City Council members will hear plans at a meeting on Monday night concerning renaming a bridge after Milton Hall
Hall was a homeless man who was shot and killed in a standoff with Saginaw Police six months ago.
On Sunday night, the Saginaw chapter of the National Action Network held a candlelight vigil to honor hall and gain support for the bridge project.
Organizers hope to rename the bridge located at the corner of Genesee and Niagara.
"We still are thinking of Milton Hall, the tragic situation that happened and this vigil is to try to get this bridge named in his honor so we have some physical remembrance of him in this community," Concerned Citizen Coalition member Larry Campbell said.
Supporters of the bridge are also fighting to rename a nearby park in Hall's honor.
