There is a free "Back to School Basketball Camp" being offered at Flint's Baker College where kids will be able to learn from a former professional female basketball player! The camp will run Aug. 20-24 from 1-3 p.m.

 Linnell Jones McKenney a former professional basketball player and was the first female to play on the boy’s middle school team, and the first female to be drafted into the professional women’s league from Flint.

She is known as the "pioneer of women’s basketball" in the Flint area. She was also one of the first of 15 women to be chosen to play in the European Women’s Professional League, where she was MVP in the European League for 3 years and chosen on the All Star team 5 years.

McKenney is now a motivational speaker, life coach, personal trainer, camp organizer, and business woman.

All kids in grades 3rd through 12th grades are welcome to participate.
