FRANKENMUTH TOWNSHIP -- A holiday grinch stole Christmas from a Frankenmuth Township family.

Kendra Smeader said she got home Monday morning and found her house had been looted of presents.

The doors were open and the family's animals had been let out.  Presents under the tree were torn open.

Thieves made off with a gaming console, a guitar, CDs, DVDs and video games.

"They're still investigating to try to figure out how they came in because it was locked. They would let us know if they heard anything,” Smeader said.

The family's pets have since been recovered.

Frankenmuth police are investigating the incident.
