Michigan State Police are investigating a deadly shooting involving a Burton Police officer just before noon today. The officer is ok. While details are a little sketchy, we do know the officer came in contact with a man on Lippincott just west of Center road.
The shooting happened not too long after that. The man was taken to Hurley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld as family members are notified.
