The Genesee County Health Department will begin offering the injectable shot
and nasal spray novel H1N1 flu vaccine to clients on a walk-in basis starting November
30, 2009 at the Genesee County Health Department – Burton Branch

8:00 – 11:00 am & 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Tuesday Afternoons
1:00 – 4:00 pm only
Clinics will close early due to client volume
People in the following priority groups will receive the novel H1N1 injectable shot:
• Pregnant women
• Household contacts and caregivers (all ages) for children younger than 6 months
of age that CANNOT receive the nasal spray
• Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel (all ages) that CANNOT
receive the nasal spray
• All people from 6 months to 2 years of age
• Children 2 to 24 years of age who CANNOT receive the nasal spray
• Persons aged 25 through 64 years who have chronic health disorders or
comprised immune systems.
The Nasal Spray will be given to:
• All healthy people from 2 to 24 years of age
• All healthy healthcare & emergency medical services personnel to 49 years of age
• All healthy household contacts & caregivers (daycare workers) up to 49 years of age that care for
children younger than 6 months of age
There will be a no charge for the novel H1N1 vaccine for the uninsured and underinsured. Yet, clients with
Medicare Part B, Medicaid, or Commercial Health Plus must bring their card to receive flu vaccine at no cost.
Children must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
