(AP) -- Seniors 62 years and older from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties can spend Wednesday with a bunch of animals for free. The Detroit Zoo also is offering complimentary admission and parking to seniors' caregivers between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Regular daily admission for seniors is $9.

Live music, tractor train tours, bingo and a senior resource area also will be featured.

Officials say the spring Senior Day, sponsored by a local radio station, is one of two this year. A fall Senior Day is scheduled for Sept. 8.
