Union workers at Nexteer Automotive, the former Delphi plant in Buena Vista Township, voted to approve a contract that could bring more jobs to the area.
Nearly 80 workers were laid off when UAW 699 recently turned down a contract that cut wages but offered job security.
Union president Troy Newberry says workers wanted another vote, fearing more layoffs would come.
"We still have a contract through 2011 that we'll hold on to and take our chances then," Newberry said.
Newberry said workers voted down the last contract because it lacked sufficient health benefits..
This revised contract includes a better health care package.
