Michigan Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andy Dillon has earned the endorsement of the Michigan Fraternal Order of Police, who cited Dillon’s commitment to prioritizing public safety and protecting communities across the state as reasons for their support.Boosting law enforcement has been a priority for Dillon during his term as House Speaker, and is a focus of his campaign for governor, which also earned him the Police Officers Association of Michigan endorsement last month.
“To fully restore the Michigan Dream, we must ensure that we have safe streets, neighborhoods, and cities,” Dillon said. “Our citizens need to know that our police officers are going to be there when they need them, and I have continually placed a priority on public safety. I am honored to have received the Michigan FOP’s endorsement.”
The FOP is Michigan’s oldest and largest law enforcement organization, part of a national organization founded in 1915 with more than 320,000 members.
