(AP) -- LANSING, Mich. - The company that owns a pipeline that spilled oil into a southern Michigan river is opening a second community center to answer questions and assist residents with damage claims.
Enbridge Inc. says Monday its new community center in Marshall will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily to handle questions connected to the spill in the Kalamazoo River. A similar center has opened in Battle Creek.
An estimated 820,000 to more than 1 million gallons flowed from a ruptured pipeline in a spill that was reported July 26. The cause is under investigation and cleanup continues.
The Environmental Protection Agency is hosting a public meeting on the oil spill at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kellogg Arena in downtown Battle Creek.
