(AP) -- The Detroit Zoo is inviting summer visitors to a big freeze. The zoo in Royal Oak says it expects hundreds of people to participate in the "Freeze at the Detroit Zoo" Wednesday morning. The three-minute flash mob event is planned for the area around the zoo's Rackham Fountain. A flash mob is an organized group that carries out a designated action at a specific time.
The zoo says those who join the event will get buttons that say "I Froze at the Detroit Zoo." Participants will have to pay normal entry and parking fees.
The zoo says those wishing to participate in the 11 a.m. event should arrive by 10:30 a.m. at the picnic grove.
