You can start doing some creative Christmas shopping on eBay starting Friday.
The Saginaw County Sheriff is listing items taken from drug dealers and drunk drivers and passing the savings on to you.
Dozens of brand new hats, scores of tennis shoes, and big screen televisions, they're all starting for a $.99 bid on eBay.
Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel says, "This is not easy for us to maintain a chain of custody on property, house it, make sure it's clean and not filthy, and it's an opportunity to give it back to the citizens of our community. This is what it's all about."
The sheriff says a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, taken from a person with a third drunk driving offense, will be up for bid Friday at 5 p.m.
The Jeep money goes back to the sheriff's department with a portion of the proceeds going to victim's advocacy groups.
The other proceeds will go to the fight on drugs in the county.
"As much as we'd love to give away brand new tennis shoes to children in our community, I can't give tennis shoes to everybody in our community. Therefore, I can't give some away and others not."
That just wouldn't be fair says the sheriff, who says most items will be listed this Monday.
