WARREN -- A woman found a kidney for her husband by posting on Facebook.

The Detroit News reports Roxy Kurze was desperate to find a kidney for her 35-year-old husband, Jeff.  Doctors at the Beaumont Hospital told the couple they needed to find a donor soon.

It was then that Roxy went onto Facebook, and asked for a miracle.  Ricky Cisco, from the Royal Oak area, was the answer to her prayer.

The Detroit News reports that Ricky was a match, and was so touched by the cry for help, that he decided to sacrifice a kidney to help out his Facebook friends.

The Associated Press reports the transplant was successfully performed on March 30.

This touching story leads us to ask what you would do in this situation. If you saw someone on a social media site asking for medical help, would you offer?  Leave us your thoughts below.

Would you donate an organ to someone who was asking for help on Facebook?
