James Terpenning says, "Its a dog, yes it is to harsh. I understand the guy may have a few issues and I love animals but IT IS A DOG!!! I ate part of a cow for dinner and plan on eating some chicken tonight, should I watch out for the animal police???"
Melissa Kelly states, "He'll not only serve the time, but it could completely ruin his life. It may be only 9 months, but that means loss of his job, loss of any assets he may owe such as home and car, and disrespect from all- maybe even his family. I think 9 months will serve it's purpose."
Dori Steckley comments, "Not harsh enough. Cruelty and abuse of animals all too often leads to the same treatment of people. I wish they'd lock him up and throw away the keys"

A Saginaw County man faces jail time for stabbing a dog with a samurai sword.
Tuesday, 36-year-old Trenton John Rambo pleaded guilty in Saginaw County Circuit Court for animal torture.
According to the Saginaw News, Rambo attacked his neighbor’s dog, Mekie, in the neck with the weapon in January. Fortunately, the Alaskan husky survived.
Court records indicate that Rambo faces nine months in jail and two years probation for the crime. The maximum sentence for animal torture is four years in prison.
Rambo is scheduled to be sentence June 2nd at 8:30 a.m.
