A new poll shows an increasing number of people are upset at Governor Rick Snyder.

According to the Associated Press, the EPIC-MRA shows 60 percent gave Gov. Snyder negative job ratings.  That’s up from 36 percent in February.

This drop in popularity is likely due to the major budget cuts, especially towards retirees and schools.

Thousands have protested in Lansing against the Republican leader since he announced the budget proposal.  Unions have been outraged over the place of a state Financial Manger, saying it takes away from voters’ and bargaining rights.  Others are fighting against a plan to cut hundreds of dollars per student in education cuts.

Some Republican lawmakers are backing the governor, saying the cuts were necessary in order to balance the state’s growing deficit.

We want to know whether you approve of Governor Snyder. Let us know in the comment section.
