Authorities say two quick-acting Michigan State University students pulled an unresponsive pregnant woman from a burning car following a crash in Tittabawassee Township.
Police say, 28-year-old Jessica Dore of Bay City may have experienced blood sugar problems before her car rear-ended a pickup truck Tuesday evening at a four-way stop.
Township Police Department Officer Brian J. Berg told The Saginaw News , “There’s no doubt they saved her life.”
Police say 22-year-old engineering students Ryan Hunt of Troy and Adam Rainbolt of Ingham County's Meridian Township were also at the intersection and removed Dore from the car. Fire crews arrived and put out the blaze. Police say the car was traveling about 40 mph before the crash. Dore and the pickup's driver were treated for minor injuries at a Saginaw hospital.
