MACKINAC ISLAND -- A memorial service will be held for the two Saginaw County residents who died during the Chicago-to-Mackinac sailboat race this week.

51-year-old skipper Mark Morley and 41-year-old crew member Suzanne Bickel passed away Monday when their sailboat, The WingNuts, capsized during a storm.

Tuesday, race organizers and participants are planning on holding a memorial service for Morley and Bickel on Mackinac Island. NBC25 will have more details from that memorial on NBC25 News at 6:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, friends and family have posted a youtube video of Mark Morley, talking about his love for sailboats just before he ventured on the Chicago-to-Mackinac race in 2009. Watch the video below:
