GRAND RAPIDS -- A woman, who’s accused of offering to sell a 2-year-old child on eBay, has been charged with attempting to obtain money through false pretenses.

The Grand Rapids Press reports 20-year-old Autumn Monet Braden says it was a “joke” when she put her toddler cousin up for sale on the auction website in May.

However, the Kent County Prosecutor didn’t find it funny.  The Grand Rapids Press reports the prosecutor believes that Braden didn’t actually intend on selling the child, but think she may have intended to scam buyers out of cash.

What do you think? Should Braden be criminally charged for this “joke?” Why or why not? Leave us your comments below.
