The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) says ground beef from Michigan could be tainted with E. coli.

The department states a toxin, that produces the E. coli illness, was linked to McNees Meats and Wholesale LLC, a meat-processing and retail company in North Branch and Lapeer County.

The company’s now recalling 360 pounds of the 10 pound bags of “McNees Ground Beef Bulk” with the establish number “EST.33971. If you purchased any of these meats through McNees recently, the health department says you should not eat it.

E. coli symptoms include stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. If you believe you have any of these symptoms, call your doctor.
