FLINT -- “The  Seventh Annual ‘Back to the Bricks’ is now in the history books and once again, spectator and participant participation set all time records,” Al Hatch, the event’s chairman stated in a written release.

The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce estimates that attendance for the five day event was around 420,000 spectators and 35,000 vehicles on display, and that’s not including “Tune Up Week,” that officials say drew in thousands more.

Hatch says in order to keep the events free to the public, local business sponsors came forward to fund the events.

The GRCC is already charting out next year’s cruise and is expected to release the finalized dates and tour location in October.
