The Huron County Sheriff's department says a 21-year-old bow hunter fell out of a tree stand 15 feet off the ground.

It happened off Minden Road in Bloomfield Township.

D eputies say Jordon Grashik of New Baltimore punctured his lung and had other injuries when his stand separated from a tree.

His father found him shortly after the fall.

He's being treated at Hurley Medical Center.

Authorities are asking the public to check their hunting equipment to avoid accidents like these.
