Sitting for too long may increase your risk for cancer.

NBC News reports that researchers in Canada studied more than one hundred thousand people, and found the longer people spent sitting during the day, the higher their risk for dying early.

They linked more than ninety thousand new cancer cases to prolonged sitting and physical inactivity.

Experts say you should try to remain active throughout the day, and not sit down for more than an hour straight.
