Romney and Santorum still neck-and-neck entering Tuesday
Michigan's 30 delegates are still up in the air with polls for the primary election set to open Tuesday morning.
"This is a president out of ideas, out of excuses. and in 2012 we're going to get him out of the White House," said Mitt Romney during an early afternoon campaign stop in Albion.
Romney and Senator Rick Santorum are both leading various polls in Michigan, meaning the race is still too close to call.
"We decided to do this as a family, the family enterprise of running for president because we all know that's what we're here for," said Sen. Santorum, addressing a crowd inside a ballroom at the Lexington Lansing Hotel.
The arrival of fellow candidate Ron Paul has sent shockwaves through the campaigns for Romney and Santorum, who are hoping to keep Paul from capturing any delegates in Michigan.
"More and more people are waking up. They know whats wrong with this country, what has to be done. Washington is sound asleep. We need to make sure they hear us and know what our message is and that is for liberty," said Rep. Paul during a speech before a capacity crowd inside the Michigan State University Auditorium.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow.
