FLINT TOWNSHIP -- Flint Township police say a 6th person has been arrested in connection with a carjacking that resulted in the murder of a Grand Blanc woman that occurred at 4107 Corunna Road, at the One Stop – Mobil Gas Station.

The incident started just after 9:00 pm Sunday, when suspects attempted to carjack the victim while she was parked at the gas pumps.

During the carjacking 55-year old Leslie Mills was shot.  She died a short time later at Hurley Medical Center.

Police say the suspects stole Mill's car and dumped it two blocks away at the Economy Motel. Undercover cops staked out the car and motel and waited for the suspects to return. That's when they were arrested.

Investigators say the suspects planned the attack. They add the suspects scoped the area out looking for someone to rob. Police say their sole purpose was to find money for drugs.

Monday night, police arrested 19-year-old Matthew Riselay.

He is the sixth person arrested in connection with the case.

Residents in the area say they can't believe something like this could happen in their neighborhood.

"I was in total shock. I was flabbergasted," said William Welch, who lives across the street from the gas station.

The Michigan State Police Crime Lab is assisting with the investigation.

The Genesee County Prosecutors Office will be reviewing the case and the involvement of the persons arrested. Charges are expected to  be filed on Wednesday.

Funeral arrangements for Leslie "Tess" Marie of Grand Blanc have been set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Visitation 12-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
