FLINT -- Flint emergency financial manager Michael Brown will present the 2013 budget on Monday in a city council meeting at Flint City Hall. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.

As expected, Brown will make cuts and install new initiatives to try and increase revenue streams.

The new budget will try to begin a healing process with the city's economy that is projected to be in a $25 million deficit.

Brown told MLive on Friday that the recent agreements with employee unions have helped to mitigate the city's budge crisis but not eliminate it completely. Brown's finance director, Gerald Ambrose, believes that more reductions are necessary.

The 2013 fiscal year will begin on July 1.
